There are so many different categories of books eveyone will be able to find a great one to suit them no matter what their age or ability.

Fictional books are about all different types of lifestyles and worlds, you can go anywhere and be anybody. There are different genres of fiction each one has no boundaries they can be serious, entertaining, controversial, funny, silly, out of this world... the list goes on!
The best known fictional book is the novel where the story has a plot and the writer describes the setting and the characters using descriptive writing. There are many novels written about different themes, Fantasy themes such as vampires are very popular at the moment with the Twilight books and films featuring the character Edward Cullen. Anne Rice has also written on the subject of vampires in her Vampire Chronicles which are widely popular. Although arguably the best vampire novel is Bram Stoker's Dracular a great gothic tale.

Another type book is a graphic novel or comic book, which doesn't use words to describe the story but pictures and illustrations. Graphic Novels tend to be complete collections of a story rather than a one off comic book. A well known and popular graphic novel is Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. It also has been turned into the blockbuster film starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and directed by Zack Snyder who adapted Frank Miller's 300 starring Gerard Butler.
